Let us eat cake!

This year's Crimbo-Limbo or Betwixtmas is even stranger than usual. Listlessly browsing the diminishing cheeseboard and other lockdown leftovers made me recall the elderly fruitcake discovered in 2017 in Antarctica. . It once belonged to polar explorer Captain Robert Falcon Scott, making it 110 years old and yet still, like an old bit of Stilton from the very back of the fridge, "almost edible". In fact there's a petition on change.org to the Antarctic Heritage Trust, demanding a chap called Luke Rowell, who has trained on the Reduced to Clear sections of multiple supermarkets, be allowed to eat it. I've signed it. If Luke wants to tuck into the vintage and historic cake, why not? Wishing everyone the #health, #opportunity and #freedom to reach their #goals in 2021. #purpose #HappyNewYear2021
