A crazy way to start the year

“A stretch goal is high-effort and high-risk. It is intentionally set above normal standards to attract exponential rewards, opportunities, and experience”.

I’ve just spent 2 weeks in the remote, cramped Mars Desert Research Station, isolated in a dusty red landscape, living on dehydrated food with a 30 year shelf life, separated from loved ones by #Mars latency in #communications and every resource strictly controlled. Showers were rationed, rotated and could only last 90seconds. (Try this at home). My crew and I had never met in person before but worked together on shared and individual #research projects connected to #wellbeing of future space-farers.

It was fantastic.
